Addison's Angels is a nonprofit organization founded after the founder's daughter battled bacterial meningitis and sepsis in 2020. The organization now gives back to families facing medical issues at Texas Children's Hospital, providing support and resources during their most challenging times.

Even though an urgent care doctor said she was fine, Mrs. Caraway drove Addison to Texas Children’s Emergency Center when her temperature reached 101 degrees. Tests revealed she had bacterial meningitis, an inflammation of the fluid and membranes around the brain and spinal cord.
Addison was born at 35 weeks. At 5 weeks old she felt warm and I took her to an urgent care where they took her temperature on her forehead, I said she is under 3 months can you please take her temperature rectally, I was told they didn’t have that ability. They said she didn’t have fever and she was okay. I felt uneasy with their call,

They said she didn’t have fever and she was okay. I felt uneasy with their call, I drove her to the ER where she was diagnosed with bacterial meningitis and sepsis. She had S. gallolyticus.
